Clan Events & Games

Welcome to the end of summer, We are embarking on a mission that I hope will be favourable to our members and friends. I have been asked to involve you all in a quest to help others, Children mostly who otherwise may not get the opportunity to experience music. Through the generosity of many we hope to acquire old or unused musical instruments, if you have or know of someone with a Violin, Viola or other Stringed instrument we would like to acquire them. I am working with a Teacher, a Luthier (Violin Maker) and students to make it possible for those otherwise not able to afford lessons and instruments an opportunity to learn and enjoy music. Even if the item is damaged or neglected or not complete (just a bow is most helpful) we would cherish it, repair it, and help it find a deserving student to play it.

The most important of these events is the Clan Grant Gathering held on the 2nd Saturday in August each year at the Abernethy Highland Games at Nethybridge (about 5 miles from Grantown-on-Spey).
